IRAP shares its updated Practice Guide on Special Immigrant Visas for Afghans and Iraqis. The practice guide provides extensive legal background, practical tips, and tools for legal practitioners assisting SIV applicants and their families. In April 2025, IRAP completed a substantial update to the practice guide, adding new or expanded sections related to follow-to-join SIV processing and derivative eligibility, adjustment of status for SIV applicants who entered at the U.S.-Mexico border or are in removal proceedings, and other topics.
